GIBSON HOLY EXPLORER DSHXSCCH1 LIMITED EDITION

The Gibson Holy Explorer is the first guitar in Gibson’s 2009 Limited Run Series. The Gibson Holy Explorer gets it’s main design from the original Gibson Explorer but the similarities end there. The Holy Explorer has a mahogany body (the original 1958’s were made of Korina) that has been made “holy” with carefully carved openings in the body, giving the guitar an extremely light weight and a different tonal quality than a solid wood construction.

The Holy Explorer has a 24¾-inch scale, 22 frets, rosewood fingerboard and figured acrylic dot inlays. Gibson has installed a single volume control along with a 3-way selector switch that manages a Gibson 496R humbucker in the neck and a Gibson 500T humbucker in the bridge.

Gibson has limited this guitar to a run of just 350 guitars.
