The Performance Series heads are based on our legendary UL amplifiers, with a few modifications that offer a slightly warmer sound in a streamlined format. 
The Technology
The PS amps maintain the integrity of the input signal and exhibit a noise floor typically found only in recording studios. The twin 500 watt (1000 watt bridged) Class-D power plant represents the next generation of amplifier tech and flexibility. Coupled with its audiophile grade preamp, the PS sets new standards in sound, power and affordable instrument amplification. While the front panel suggests a 3-band EQ, the mid-cut switch and mid-cut level control add additional tone-shaping capability. 
The Sound
The PS amps deliver the natural character, drive and impact that makes Epifani amps sought after the world over. That's because they are based on the UL series, considered by many to be the finest sounding bass amplifiers ever made. In fact, the pre-amp is identical to Channel One of the UL902, so you hear all the detail, all the subtleties and all the digging in as if your ears were wired to the output of your bass. The custom-built power stages respond in micro seconds to your every inflection, so the groove you create is carved right into the stage. It's your bass, only louder. Much louder.
